Self Defense Trick To Surprise A Bar Bully
A common self defense trick that many experts instruct is that, when somebody comes up to you and starts threatening you, you should set up your defense by adopting a “ready stance” that looks passive but still protects your upper body. For example, your hands should be up and open as if saying, “I don’t want to fight.” but you should still have your body in a position to defend yourself if needed.
This isn’t such bad advice. Unfortunately it requires your brain and your body to be speaking the same language and 95% of the time, I see trainees unable to overcome this obstacle even in relaxed self defense training scenarios. It gets much harder in the adrenaline charged real world self defense scenario. Here’s what I mean…
When posturing for self defense, tricks like holding your hands up and saying, “I don’t want to fight” often aren’t perceived that way. Somebody who’s angry, drunk, or just not paying attention won’t hear you telling him you “don’t want any trouble.” If your body is in a “ready” stance, when your hands come up, he may actually see you looking for a fight, and that’s all he’ll process. Bystanders might think the same thing; they may not hear or remember that you said you didn’t want trouble.
In addition, to defend yourself, you need to have the survival mind-set to rip your attacker’s head off if needed, right? Well your brain is then thinking “self defense”, tricking your body language to show that you’re really ready to fight despite your submissive words. To better de-escalate the confrontation and also get your attacker to lower his guard if you need to defend yourself, here’s a self defense trick that will fool any attacker and not only set you up for a surprise preemptive attack…but also “look” more like self defense to those around you for the police report that results:
Surprise Self-Defense Trick, Step 1: First, turn to the side.
This is like blading your body, but it’s more extreme than that. You’re putting most of your body farther away from your attacker while putting your lead hand closer to him.
Surprise Self-Defense Trick, Step 2: Next, hunch your shoulders.
This looks passive; it’s a submission cue programmed into our primitive brains, a visual prompt from the animal kingdom that makes you look like you’re afraid and unwilling to fight back.
Surprise Self-Defense Trick, Step 3: Talk with your hands.
While you’re busy telling your attacker that you don’t want any trouble, maybe even offering to buy him a drink if you’re in a bar, get him used to seeing your hands move around. That way, when you finally do move, you’ll take him by surprise.
Surprise Self-Defense Trick, Step 4: If he refuses to deescalate, strike him.
You can do a simple palm heel blow with your lead hand, which is already halfway to your target by the time you do it… and you’ll take your attacker completely by surprise as you preempt his attack.
This is a very effective sneak-attack approach to self-defense. Trick your opponent into thinking you’re a submissive weakling and you’ll trick anybody else who might be watching. You’ll program them to think you’re the victim, and you’ll walk away the winner…and survivor.

But there’s a bunch of mistakes that many martial artists make when executing a groin kick for self defense – mistakes that can actually end up hurting YOU as a result if you don’t do pay close attention to these aspects of your technique.
Self Defense Groin Kick Secret #1: Use In Close Quarters Combat!
Don’t go for a groin kick from far away! As men, we have a subconscious radar that register when someone is going to hit our groin. This makes it harder to deliver an effective groin kick because he’s more likely to turn to avoid the kick as an instinctive reaction.
Self Defense Groin Kick Secret #2: Beware The Headbutt!
Self defense groin kicks, when used as taught in most “traditional” training settings, use a “linear” approach that places the martial artist directly in front of their attacker. But the way the body naturally reacts when hit with a groin kick is to instantly bend forward.
If you attempt a groin kick for self defense when you’re right in front of your attacker, this places you right in the way of your attacker’s head as it comes crashing down in an involuntary reaction. Needless to say, you don’t want to transform your groin kick against your attacker into a “headbutt” that takes YOU out of the fight. This IS for “self defense” remember!

You can stop the natural “headbutt” reaction by first striking high to your attacker’s body. This also makes sure that he doesn’t see the groin kick coming and you can deliver more power in your technique.

Self Defense For Women
Self defense for women should be something taught to children as they grow up. It is important and it can be life saving many times over. Here are some statistics that are a must for you to know as a women or someone that cares for a woman.
1. Every two minutes, some women, some place within the Untied States is being raped. That is 30 women every hour!
2. Every year, over one million women suffer some form of abuse by their partner. While that abuse is not fatal, they often are repeatedly abuse.
3. For any twelve month span, it is shown that an average of four million women are abused in seriously abusing fashions, many more do unreported and unable to be counted.
4. Nearly half of all women will face some form of physical abuse in their lifetimes. Many will face violent physical attacks. Many will die from the injuries inflicted on them during these attacks.
All of this should be showcase the importance of having a well thought plan and strategy for defending yourself in any given situation. It is very large problem throughout much of the Untied States and as such should be something that you strive to protect yourself from.
The goal of this blog is to educate you on simple and not so simple methods that you can learn to protect yourself from virtually any attack that can happen to you. Most often, these attacks will happen at the hands of someone you know. Others will happen complete strangers as random violent attacks. You should be prepared for both, even if you believe that this could never happen to you.
Every woman that is attacked in some fashion, whether as a result of domestic violence or the result of a random attack will tell you the same sad story. They never thought that this could happen to them. It can and it did. Most importantly, it can also happen to you.
Prepare for the worst so that you can protect yourself from any situation that may arise. You will find that this is the very best method of surviving an attack on you, from anyone. Seek out the help and the guidance you need because you deserve it and you need it to see many more tomorrow.

Filipina in Dubai Gang Raped and Brutally Slashed All Over Her Body
There's a video circulating in Fb these past few days which is supposedly about 'Filipinas gang-raped in Abu Dhabi'. Below is the latest update report about the alleged gang rape. This is very alarming and I think women should be aware to defend themselves in times of need. Migrante-ME alarmed over video of Pinay allegedly gang-raped, killed in UAE
ANTIPOLO CITY, Philippines—Migrants’ group, Migrante Middle East (ME) urges the government to immediately verify and investigate the alleged gang raping and killing of two Filipina overseas workers in the United Arab Emirates, whose video is now circulating in Facebook.This reporter has also seen this video of a woman, with big cuts allover her body, bloods oozing from those open wounds and being attended by medical staff in an unnamed medical facility in the UAE.
In a statement sent to media by Migrante-ME’s regional coordinator, Prof. John Leonard Monterona he said that the video is alarming.
“If the case is true, then the Filipino community here has enough reason to worry,” he said.
The video has been titled “pls help spread the video pr mkarating s kinauukulan” which was posted on Facebook and has been circulating,” and its source(s) is/are unknown.
With the video is a note that reads:
“Please watch and let us HELP this Filipina, from a very reliable source, she was working in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This girl, together with her Filipina friend also was about to go home from a party. While on the taxi, the 2 felt asleep due to liquor. The Pakistani Taxi driver called up his friends; he drove the car somewhere in the area and brutally raped the 2 girls (gang rape). After doing such thing, they also use a sharp object to cut their skin that also cut the other girls’ breast that made her bleed to death. The other one managed to escape suffering cuts and was able to rush into a government hospital, a well known state of the art hospital. This video shows that the Filipina is still GCS 15, with controlled bleeding. Still the cuts have not yet been stitched. Three days after. This Filipina died. No knows why, even the staff are forbidden to say something. TOTAL News Blackout where implemented that’s why this news didn’t came to manila, we dnt know who she was, and who are her relatives here in our country, please lets help and justice be sentenced to the group or Pakistani who raped them.. We should not let this happen again, we have some relatives abroad and even some of us are planning to work abroad. My source told me that the hospital was owned by the King, and ordered news blackout so that their image as zero-crime will still stay the same.”
“First things first: verification and conducting a thorough investigation by the RP posts officials must be conducted and from its findings, the RP post must act swiftly. If it’s true, then the alleged Pakistani suspects must be hunted down and file an appropriate criminal case against them,” Monterona said.
Monterona said he had already conveyed this incident to the attention of fellow OFWs and Migrante officers in the United Arab Emirates and had asked them to look into the case and send a report immediately.
